Cheyenne Frontier Days – The Daddy of ‘em All

Cheyenne Rodeo

I believe this will be the 113th year for the Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration starting July 14th and lasting for 12 days. There are parades and singers and cookoffs and Indian villages and rides and nine PRCA rodeos and probably a whole lot more. The CFD is one of the most fun events to go to because of the size of the operation. The list of different county music stars giving concerts this year is impressive to say the least. So much to do! Charlie West is the man in charge of the event but he uses literally thousands of volunteers to produce what arguably is the largest outdoor western celebration in the world.

Obviously held in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a great and friendly place to visit but plan ahead because half a million(!) people attend the celebration every year.

For more information go to the Cheyenne Frontier Days website.

And if you want to wear an official CFD cowboy buckle you can find them at Beals Cowboy Buckles.
