Watched this fully restored movie on Netflix today or you can get it on Amazon. Obviously being a New Mexican it was especially interesting for me. But typically Gene Autry.
There’s more rhythm on the range in Sons of New Mexico (1949 by Columbia Pictures), Gene Autry’s 70th movie. 71 mins/B&W. The Old West never looked less inviting as when our favorite singing cowboy mentors a young boy, only to discover that the lad is in debt to a gambler. Infused with the headstrong callowness of youth, the kid spurns Gene’s aid and ends up being framed for murder.
Actors: Gene Autry, Gail Davis, Robert Armstrong, Dickie Jones and Clayton Moore (later the Lone Ranger). The Director was John English.
