A new museum is being built in Fort Worth to celebrate cattle raisers.

From their website:
“For more than a quarter of a century, the Cattle Raisers Museum has entertained and educated visitors with the real story of the cattle and ranching industries in the Southwest. In late 2009, we’ll unveil our beautiful new museum in the Fort Worth Cultural District.

“This state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot facility will feature many interactive exhibits and a fabulous new theater. It will take visitors on a memorable journey from the early days of ranching to the cattle industry of the future. Along the way, you can experience a video game that lets you operate a virtual ranch, a “Ride-Along Round-Up,” that takes you on a simulated cattle drive, and a glowing steer that demonstrates the many cattle by-products. You’ll also see a wide range of authentic artifacts – from branding irons to saddles – plus highlights from our rare photography collection.
