The National Little Britches Rodeo Association is the standard bearer of junior rodeo in the United States. Each year some 2,000 kids from 24 states compete in more than 275 Little Britches rodeos.

Kids from age 5 through 18 are eligible to participate in five divisions: Little Wranglers (age 5-7), Junior Girls, Junior Boys (age 8 through 13) and Senior Girls, Senior Boys, (age 13 through 18). Events are different for the individual age groups but include bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, dally ribbon roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, flag racing, trail course, goat tail untying and the ever popular mutton bustin.

image1It has grown from a single, annual rodeo back in 1952 and today they are based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

2009 National Little Britches Finals Rodeo will be held in Pueblo, Colorado, July 27th – August 1, 2009.
