Musician “Miss Devon” Dawson learned to play at age 4 when the red-headed youngster accompanied her father on banjo. Today she’s a very popular western swing and jazz musician after a 22 year break to raise her twin boys. You’ll see her on Starz-Encore and she performs at many many western events, especially demonstrating her superior yodeling skills.

If you’re a Disney/Pixar fan you will certainly recognize her voice from the Toy Story 2 soundtrack singing Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl.

She was nominated for Female Performance of the Year and Songwriter of the year by the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists. Her title cut Keepin’ Your Head Above the Water placed as finalist for Western Writers of America SPUR award as the “Best Western Song 2008” and she was a 2008 nominee for “Outstanding Traditional Western Artist”. And she is Western Music Female Performer of the Year 2009.

Miss Devon calls home the Cowtown Opry in Fort Worth, Texas.
