This clip shows a sample of what we captured after the ICEL 2012 conference in Strömsholm, Sweden. The work was made in cooperation with equine researchers attending the conference, whom had the opportunity to work in a unique research setting. We set up a 60 camera system indoors and in the outdoor setting seen here we used 42 Oqus 3+ cameras.

Biomechanics of Icelandic horses at the fast tölt and speed pace study:
Even though popularity of the Icelandic horse is constantly increasing in many countries, there is very little scientific evidence on the biomechanics of its additional gaits pace and tölt, particularly at high velocities. The aim with the study was to describe the kinematics of racing pace and tölt at moderate and high velocity in the Icelandic horse. This study is a part of a larger project investigating the functional and biomechanical impact of special shoeing and saddling methods and their implication to health and welfare in Icelandic horses.
